Professional Large PA System Hire for Events

This is one of our most frequently recommended PA systems: a powerful, dependable and versatile package that works equally well for a wedding reception, private party, DJ set, corporate function or live performance. It provides substantially greater headroom and low-frequency extension than a smaller pair of speakers, while remaining compact enough for most function rooms, marquees and event venues.

The system uses professional RCF equipment designed for demanding live-sound applications. Two NX 912-A active loudspeakers provide articulate vocals, detailed music reproduction and consistent 100° × 60° coverage. Two SUB 705-AS MK3 active subwoofers reproduce the low frequencies that give dance music, live instruments and larger events their weight and impact.

What Is This Large PA System Suitable For?

Weddings and Private Parties

The system is an excellent choice when music is a central part of the event and a smaller PA would lack the necessary headroom or bass response. Connect a phone or laptop to play a Spotify, Apple Music or locally stored playlist, or connect a DJ controller or mixer for the evening reception. If using a streaming service, we recommend downloading important playlists in advance rather than relying entirely on venue Wi-Fi or mobile reception.

Wireless microphones for speeches, additional speakers for a separate ceremony area and wedding lighting and sound packages can be added to create a complete system for the day.

DJs and Dance Floors

The combination of 12-inch NX tops and two 15-inch subwoofers gives DJs clear monitoring of the full musical range and provides the audience with controlled, substantial bass. Most professional DJ controllers and mixers can connect using balanced XLR outputs. Equipment with RCA or 3.5 mm outputs can also be accommodated through the supplied mixer or suitable connection cables.

A separate DJ monitor is not included in the standard package but can be added. We strongly recommend one where the DJ position is behind or away from the main loudspeakers.

Live Bands and Performances

The loudspeaker system is well suited to live music, but a complete band setup will normally require more than the compact playback mixer supplied with the standard package. Depending on the performers and venue, this may include a larger mixing console, vocal and instrument microphones, DI boxes, stage monitors, multicore cabling and a sound engineer.

Please send us the band’s technical rider or input list before ordering. We can then build an appropriate live-sound package around this PA system and ensure that nothing important is overlooked.

Corporate Events, Presentations and Speeches

For corporate functions and larger presentations, the system provides high output with excellent speech intelligibility. Wired or wireless microphones, lectern microphones, playback devices and technician support can all be added. If speech is the only requirement, we may recommend a smaller or differently configured system that provides more suitable coverage without unnecessary subwoofers.

How Many People Will This PA System Cover?

As a practical guide, this package is usually suitable for indoor audiences of up to approximately 250 people. Audience numbers alone do not determine the correct PA system. The dimensions and acoustics of the room, ceiling height, speaker position, music style, desired volume and distance from the loudspeakers all matter.

Event or Venue Typical Suitability Important Considerations
Wedding or private party Typically up to 250 guests indoors Room shape, dance-floor position and required bass level
DJ event Medium to large rooms and marquees DJ monitor, controller connections and venue noise limits
Live band Small to medium live performances Mixing console, microphones, stage monitors and engineer
Corporate function Larger presentations and mixed speech/music events Microphone quantity, room coverage and technician support
Outdoor event Assessment required Audience area, weather protection, power and environmental noise

Please contact us before ordering for outdoor use. Sound dissipates differently outside, and audience numbers that work indoors cannot be transferred directly to an open-air event. We will consider the area to be covered, nearby residents, weather protection, mains-power locations and cable routes. You can also view our outdoor PA system hire options.

RCF NX 912-A Loudspeakers and SUB 705-AS MK3 Subwoofers

RCF is an Italian professional-audio manufacturer with a long-established reputation in live sound, touring, event production and fixed installations. This package combines the NX Series’ tour-ready plywood loudspeaker cabinets with compact SUB Series active subwoofers.

RCF FiRPHASE

FiRPHASE is RCF’s proprietary phase-processing technology. It is designed to preserve a coherent sound across the loudspeaker’s coverage area, supporting natural vocal reproduction and consistent musical detail.

Bass Motion Control

RCF Bass Motion Control manages woofer excursion through DSP. Its purpose is to extend low-frequency performance while maintaining control and protecting the transducer when the system is working hard.

Active Class-D Amplification

Every loudspeaker and subwoofer contains its own matched Class-D amplifier, DSP, limiting and protection. There are no separate power amplifiers to configure. We supply the necessary signal and power cabling, and the complete system can be delivered, positioned, connected and tested before your event.

Large RCF PA System Technical Specification

Amplifier figures above are the manufacturers’ peak ratings. Amplifier wattage alone does not determine perceived loudness, coverage or suitability; the venue, system configuration and loudspeaker placement are equally important.

Delivery, Setup and Sound Engineer Options

We can deliver the system at an agreed time, install and test it at the venue, show you or your DJ how to operate it, and return to collect it after the event. Delivery and collection charges are calculated according to the event postcode and access requirements.

For a phone or laptop playlist, speeches or a straightforward DJ setup, the system can normally be operated without an engineer once installed. We recommend an engineer for live bands, complex corporate events, multiple microphones, performances with changing requirements, or any event where continuous technical supervision is important.

When requesting a quotation, please tell us:

  • The event date, venue and postcode
  • Whether the event is indoors, outdoors or in a marquee
  • The expected audience size and the approximate room dimensions
  • Whether you are using a phone, laptop, DJ controller, microphones or a live band
  • Venue access times, stairs, parking restrictions and any sound limits
  • Whether you require setup, an engineer, lighting or additional equipment

Frequently Asked Questions

How many people is this large PA system suitable for?

It is typically suitable for indoor events with up to approximately 250 guests. This is a guide rather than a guarantee: venue dimensions, acoustics, speaker positions, music type and required volume can significantly change the appropriate system size.

Can I connect a phone or laptop and play my own playlist?

Yes. The supplied mixer can accept a phone, tablet or laptop using the appropriate cable, making the package suitable for Spotify, Apple Music and locally stored playlists. Download important music in advance and keep the playback device connected to power during the event.

Can a DJ connect a controller or mixer?

Yes. Professional balanced XLR outputs are preferred, although equipment with RCA or other line-level outputs can normally be connected through the supplied mixer. Tell us the make and model of the DJ equipment so that we can supply the correct cables. A separate DJ monitor is available as an optional extra.

Is the system suitable for a live band?

Yes, but most bands will also require a larger mixing console, microphones, DI boxes, stage monitors and a sound engineer. Send us the performer’s technical rider or input list and we will specify a complete live-sound package.

Are microphones included?

Microphones are not part of the standard package described above, but wired and wireless handheld, headset and lapel microphones can be added. We can recommend the most suitable type for speeches, presentations or performance.

Does the hire include delivery and setup?

Delivery, installation, testing and collection are available. The charge depends on the postcode, timings and venue access, and is shown separately from the equipment hire. Enter your postcode on this page or request a quotation for an exact figure.

Do I need a sound engineer?

Not necessarily. Playlist and straightforward DJ events can usually run without an engineer once the system has been installed and demonstrated. An engineer is recommended for live music, complex events, multiple microphones or situations where technical support must be available throughout.

Can this PA system be used outdoors?

It can be specified for some outdoor events, but outdoor sound coverage, power, cabling, weather protection and local noise restrictions must be assessed first. Contact us before ordering so that we can confirm whether this package is sufficient and safe for the proposed site.
