What does the Large PA System add?

Our Large PA System combines two RCF NX 915-A active loudspeakers with two RCF SUB 705-AS MK3 active subwoofers. It provides substantially greater output, bass extension and headroom than our smaller packages while remaining compact enough for most function rooms, marquees and event venues.

This system is suitable for indoor events with up to 250 guests. It is intended for occasions where music is central to the event and the PA needs to cover a larger audience, a busy dance floor or a more demanding room.

The audience figure is a guide rather than a fixed capacity. Room dimensions, acoustics, speaker positions, dance-floor size, music style and venue sound limits can all affect the correct choice of system.

Microphones, DJ monitoring and band equipment are not included as standard. Wired or wireless microphones, DJ monitors, larger mixing consoles, stage monitors and other equipment can be added where required.

About the RCF loudspeaker system

Each NX 915-A combines a 15-inch woofer with a compression driver in a tour-ready plywood cabinet. Its 100° horizontal by 60° vertical dispersion provides broad, consistent coverage, while the larger cabinet offers greater output and headroom than the NX 912-A loudspeakers used in our smaller systems.

The two SUB 705-AS MK3 subwoofers reproduce the lowest frequencies, giving dance music and live instruments greater weight and impact. Using two subwoofers also provides more low-frequency headroom for larger rooms and demanding programme material.

All four cabinets have built-in Class-D amplification, DSP, limiting and protection. We supply the correct crossover settings, signal cables and power cables.

Should I choose the Medium or Large system?

Our Medium PA System uses two smaller NX 912-A loudspeakers and one subwoofer. It is normally the more economical choice for parties, wedding receptions and DJ events with up to approximately 80 guests.

Choose the Large system when you have a larger audience, a wider or more demanding room, a particularly energetic dance floor or music requiring greater bass output. For speech-only events, the twin-subwoofer configuration may be unnecessary and we may recommend a smaller or differently arranged system.

Can I connect my own equipment?

Yes. A phone, tablet or laptop can be connected through the supplied mixer for Spotify, Apple Music or locally stored playlists. Most professional DJ controllers and mixers can also be connected. Tell us the make and model before the booking so that we can supply the correct cables.

A separate DJ monitor is recommended where the DJ position is behind or away from the main loudspeakers.

The system can also form the basis of a live-band package, but most performers will require a larger mixing console, microphones, DI boxes, stage monitors and a sound engineer. Please send us the band’s technical rider or input list before ordering.

Delivery, setup and technical support

We can deliver, position, connect and test the system, show you or your DJ how to operate it and return to collect it after the event. Delivery, collection and crew charges are calculated separately according to the postcode, timings and venue access.

Once installed, the system can normally be operated without an engineer for playlists and straightforward DJ setups. We recommend an engineer for live bands, multiple microphones, complex events or bookings requiring continuous technical supervision.
