Bose PA System Hire – Bose F1 812 & Subwoofers

Complete Bose F1 PA system hire

This is a complete, professional Bose PA system for hire, not a single portable speaker. The package combines two Bose F1 Model 812 Flexible Array loudspeakers with two matching F1 powered subwoofers, an 8-channel mixer and the cabling needed to run the system.

It is a strong choice when music needs proper low-frequency weight but speech and vocals must remain clear. We can supply it as dry hire or deliver, set up and collect it for you. A professional sound engineer can also be added where the event needs active mixing or technical support.

What is included in the Bose PA hire package?

• 2 × Bose F1 Model 812 Flexible Array loudspeakers
• 2 × Bose F1 powered subwoofers
• 8-channel stereo sound mixer with EQ and effects
• Suitable wired connections for a phone, tablet, laptop, DJ controller or other line-level playback source
• Integrated Bose speaker stands, audio cabling and mains cabling
• PAT-tested equipment

Equipment hire price: £250. Delivery, setup and collection are calculated separately according to the venue location and access requirements. Tell us the venue postcode when requesting a quotation and we will itemise the cost.

Why hire the Bose F1 system?

Adjustable coverage for different rooms

The defining feature of the Bose F1 Model 812 is its adjustable vertical array. Each loudspeaker can be set to a Straight, C, J or Reverse-J pattern, allowing its vertical coverage to be adapted for floor-level audiences, raised stages or raked seating. The loudspeaker automatically changes its EQ to maintain tonal balance when the array position is changed.

This is genuinely useful at events: the aim is to direct sound towards the audience, rather than simply make the nearest listeners endure a louder speaker.

Clear vocals with full-range music

Each F1 Model 812 combines a 12-inch woofer with eight 2.25-inch mid/high-frequency drivers and 1,000 watts of built-in amplification. The array design produces a broad 100-degree horizontal coverage pattern and is particularly effective for speech, vocals and music playback.

Two matching subwoofers

Each Bose F1 subwoofer contains two 10-inch high-excursion drivers and its own 1,000-watt amplifier. Using two subs gives the system the low-frequency extension needed for wedding receptions, DJs, parties and live music. The subwoofers also contain the mounting stands for the F1 812 loudspeakers, creating a tidy system without wide tripod bases.

What events is this Bose PA system suitable for?

• Wedding receptions: speeches, background music and evening dancing from one full-range system
• Parties and DJs: clear playback with two dedicated subwoofers for the dance floor
• Conferences and presentations: speech, walk-in music and video playback, with microphones available separately
• Theatre and performance: sound effects, playback and amplified speech or music
• Live music: singers, acoustic performers and bands where the required mixer inputs, microphones and monitoring have been agreed in advance

Guest numbers alone do not determine the right PA. Room size, layout, acoustics, programme material and the level of bass required all matter. Send us your venue, audience size and intended use and we will tell you honestly whether this Bose F1 package is suitable. For other requirements, see our complete PA system hire range.

Connect a phone, laptop or DJ controller

The supplied mixer accepts several sources and gives proper level control, EQ and effects. We can provide the wired connection needed for a phone, tablet, laptop or DJ equipment. Tell us exactly what you plan to connect when booking so that the correct input cable is included.

Wireless microphones, wired microphones, DJ equipment, stage monitors and event lighting can be added to the order. Microphones are not included in the standard £250 Bose package unless they are shown separately on your quotation.

Dry hire, delivery and professional setup

Dry hire collection is available by prior arrangement from Oxford OX4. We can also deliver the system to your venue, position it safely, connect and test it, show you how to operate it and return after the event to collect it. If your event requires live mixing, several microphones or band inputs, add one of our experienced sound engineers.

Oxford Sound Hire carries public liability insurance, and the equipment supplied is PAT tested. With more than 20 years of professional audio experience, we specify the system around the event rather than leaving you to guess which boxes you need.

Frequently asked questions

How much does the Bose PA system cost to hire?

The equipment package is £250. Delivery, setup, collection, microphones and a sound engineer are optional and priced separately, so your quotation remains clear.

Is this a Bose S1 Pro speaker?

No. A Bose S1 is a small battery-powered portable speaker. This is a substantially larger, mains-powered Bose F1 event system with two F1 Model 812 loudspeakers, two F1 subwoofers and an external mixer.

Can I play music from my phone or laptop?

Yes. The mixer can accept a phone, tablet, laptop or other playback device through a suitable wired connection. Tell us the device when booking so we can include the correct cable. Do not rely on venue Wi-Fi or Bluetooth for critical event playback.

Are microphones included?

Microphones are available but are not included in the standard package unless listed on your quotation. We can add wired or wireless handheld, headset or lapel systems according to the event.

Can the Bose F1 system be used outdoors?

It can be used outdoors only with a safe mains supply and suitable protection from rain, moisture and prolonged direct sunlight. Tell us that the event is outside when enquiring so we can assess power, weather cover, cable routes and sound coverage.

Can I collect and set up the system myself?

Dry hire collection is available by prior arrangement. Delivery, professional setup, a handover and collection can also be added if you would prefer us to take care of the installation.

How do I know whether this system is large enough?

Send us the venue, audience size and whether the system is for speech, background music, live music or dancing. We will assess the room, coverage and required level and recommend this package only when it is the right fit.
