Inputs, digital stageboxes and expansion

WING Compact has 24 onboard microphone preamps. Its 48 stereo-capable processing channels are separate from its physical input sockets: 40 main input channels and eight auxiliary input channels. You can connect up to 24 microphones locally without an external stagebox. Compatible AES50 stageboxes can provide more physical connections or place inputs nearer the performers, reducing the need for a large analogue multicore run.

Each of the three AES50 ports supports up to 48 input and 48 output transport channels at the console's operating sample rate. These are digital connection capacities, separate from the console's channel-processing count. Stageboxes, appropriate screened network cables and the input/output patch must be agreed for your hire; they are not automatically included with the console.

WING Compact also supports StageConnect and AES/EBU connections. Dante and Waves SoundGrid networking require compatible optional hardware. Ask us to confirm the fitted configuration before planning a networked-audio hire. Yamaha Rio stageboxes use Dante and cannot be connected directly to an AES50 port.

Multitrack recording, playback and remote control

The built-in 48-in/48-out USB audio interface can send individual tracks to compatible recording software and return audio for playback or virtual soundcheck.
